The Community Foundation is a non-profit organization, which was established in Cluj-Napoca/Kolozsvár in 2008, with the intention of nurturing talent, diligence, knowledge, solidarity and values which exist in a community and contributing to the shaping of a more liveable and humane environment. 

The Foundation works to achieve its aims by promoting the organization of cultural, educational, social, leisure, communal and sports activities; it strives to accomplish this with the support of talented children and young people. However, it also wishes to assist young adults and children with health problems, as well as the organizations that are helping them. Another of its aims is the protection of the built heritage. The Foundation devotes special attention to cooperation programmes spanning borders, strengthening partnerships among the people of Central and Eastern Europe. 

The Board of Trustees of the Foundation advertises programmes and announces applications to tender that serve the realization of the abovementioned targets.

The official partner of the Foundation is MOL Romania, which, as an integral part of the MOL group, considers it part of its corporate social responsibility policy to support gifted young people who are struggling with health problems.
